The UN has prepared and published a report: "Roadmap for eradicating poverty beyond growth" https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4115930?v=pdf

A group of well-known economists has drawn attention to this report in the Guardian:

The roadmap for eradicating poverty beyond growth is an important initiative and document. It represents a wake up signal.

The roadmap represents what can and should be achieved given the existing world order and the toolbox now available. It is vital that leading economists speak up against the dominating strategy of growth. I have also signed in support of the roadmap.

I am afraid that it at the same time is necessary to scrutinize even more radically the present structures, rules of the game, and processes governing the economy. The economy is important but it is not self-evident nor all-inclusive. It is necessary to consider the economy in a wide societal context, also asking more questions regarding society altogether.

“What on earth are we really up to?” is analyzing these challenges in a broad perspective trying to expand the working space for imagination, thinking, and rethinking.
